HubBoard IO ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application HubBoard (the "Service") and our website hubboard.io.

  • Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and company name associated with your HubSpot account.

  • Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan (Growth, Scale, or Unlimited), our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your payment information. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.

B. Data from HubSpot (Integrated Service)

HubBoard functions by integrating with your HubSpot portal. To provide the Kanban visualization service, we access the following data via the HubSpot API:

  • Tasks & Activities: Titles, due dates, statuses, types, and notes.

  • CRM Objects: Basic details of Contacts, Deals, Companies, and Tickets associated with your tasks.

  • User Data: Names and IDs of users in your HubSpot portal to enable team filtering and assignment.

Note on HubSpot Data: We act as a data processor. We cache minimal data necessary for performance (e.g., board configuration) but rely on HubSpot as the "source of truth." We do not sell your HubSpot data to third parties.

 

C. Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Service. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, and information about how and when you use our Service.

 

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect or receive:

  • To Provide the Service: To render your tasks on the Kanban board and sync changes back to HubSpot.

  • To Manage Subscriptions: To process payments and manage your subscription tiers (Starter, Growth, Scale, Unlimited).

  • To Improve the Service: To analyze usage patterns and fix bugs.

  • To Communicate: To send you administrative information, such as account updates, security alerts, and support messages.

We only share information with the following third parties:

  • HubSpot: To sync tasks and updates back to your CRM.

  • Payment Processors (Stripe): To facilitate billing.

  • Cloud Infrastructure: We use trusted cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Vercel) to host our application and database.

  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.

HubBoard complies with the HubSpot App Partner Program requirements.

  • Limited Use: Our use of information received from HubSpot APIs will adhere to the HubSpot Developer Terms.

We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy policy unless otherwise required by law.

  • Upon Termination: If you uninstall the HubBoard app from your HubSpot portal or cancel your account, we will delete your cached configuration data within 30 days.

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.
